Looking for a way to learn a vintage swing dance? Have you learned ballroom swing, but well, it just isn’t what you wanted? Bozeman Swing believes that everyone can swing and that it should be fun and creative right from the start! Swing dancing is a great way to express yourself while meeting new people, being active and having a super fun time! Come join the hep crowd.
Intro to Vintage Swing – This 3 lesson series will be starting Jan 25th – Feb 8th at the newly restored and beautiful Rialto! This class series will be getting you a great foundation for dancing with a focus on triple rhythm foot work basics, lead and follow techniques, and well, fun! By the time you are finished with this series you should feel comfortable getting out on the social dance floor practicing the basics. This is a great series to take if you just want to learn how to dance and perfect if you want to get a solid foundation to start learning more of the vintage styles of swing like Lindy Hop. Stephen and Kathi Dobelbower love teaching people swing dancing and look forward to see and dancing with you.
Class size is limited to be sure to register now before all the spaces are full.

Private Lessons – We offer private lessons to people who want to learn vintage swing dancing at their own pace or need extra help moving forward in their dance. This is a great way to learn quickly, to improve or brush up on your dance skills, or to figure out what is just not working in your dancing. If you are interested in private lessons click here!

Jan 13th – 2nd Saturday Swing Dance – First dance of 2018 and we’ll be at the Gallatin Labor Temple where the decor is old school, floor is smooth, and everyone is swingn’. Never done this before? No worries, come at 7:30p and learn some swing basics to get out dancing right away. DJ’ed Swing and Blues starts at 8:30p perfect for Lindy Hop, East Coast Swing, Jitterbug, Balboa, Bal-Swing, Collegiate Shag, Slow Drag… No partner or experience needed. Just bring your hep self, some hep friends, and be ready to swing! $5 at the door. This is going to be fantastic!
Jan 27th – Balboa Tea Party – Baby it’s cold outside, but it’s warm when you are dancing! Come meet up with wonderful people, dance some wonderful dances and drink some delicious tea at the Balboa Tea Party. We’ll be DJ’ing lots of swingin’ music at Townshend’s Teahouse. You do not need a partner or experience. In fact, we will have a taster lesson just for those who have never danced balboa or for those who want a re-fresher. Bring your happy feet and be sure to bring enough mullah for several cuppers of tea! See you there.
